Reverse Super Size Me (Day 3) | Recipes

NO wheat/grains, NO sugar, NO processed food, NO GMOs!
This is Reverse Super Size Me | The Farmer's Daughter Diet

I'll be eating a diet high in micro-nutrients from local, organic, ethically raised meats (good fats), veggies, nuts, raw dairy, and good healthy oils (coconut, cod liver, almond, and flax seed).

One of the first exercises I did leading up to this diet was writing down everything I ate over the course of one week. Everything. In recording every morsel that went into my mouth I was faced with the diet I really have, not the diet I think I have (knowing where you are is pretty critical to getting where you're going). I'm also logging my recipes from the entire 30 day Reverse Super Size Me | Farmer's Daughter Diet here, in the spirit of knowing where I am, hoping that something in here may be helpful to you too.

Here's what I got up to on Day 3:


Breakfast | Smoothie

Recipe
1 Cup Blueberries
1 Tbsp Cold Milled Flax Seed
1 Tbsp plain greek yogurt (I'm phasing dairy out completely)
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 Tbsp coconut oil (*I've been testing out THIS Certified Organic Virgin Coconut Oil)

Starting with the coconut milk I tossed all ingredients into a blender! It's much less sweet than my usual smoothies, but still pretty tasty.

Spinach Sea Salt OmeletLunch | Spinach Sea Salt Omelet

organic free range eggs
handful of spinach (chopped)
pinch of sea salt

I whisked eggs WITHOUT milk! My omelets have probably become more milk than egg over years, so that's a bit of an adjustment (and a great one) for me. I fried on med until the egg was thoroughly cooked, sprinkled on spinach and sea salt, folded, and enjoyed!

Total Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Dinner | Ribeye Salsa Steak

Recipe:
Organic, grass fed Ribeye Steak (mine was approx 16 ounces)- Pan-seared


Salsa Rub:
Organic Salsa <---didn't make my own today
Pinch of sea salt, and black pepper

Side:
Steamed Cauliflower, broccoli, carrots

Total Prep Time: 30 Minutes


SNACKS: Handfuls of raw almonds throughout the day
BEVERAGES: 2 Cups of my fave: Kick Ass | Kicking Horse Organic Fair Trade Coffee, water (TRYING to get it up to 8 cups), organic honey and ginger tea
